The Yogic Method For Developing Supernormal Powers

From:  Raj Kenshin Norbu
Date:

Dear Friend,

'The Yogic Method For Developing Supernormal Powers' is actually a book that is currently only available to my students.  However, I will share with you something that I am always asked when I perform these pain control feats:  How am I able to go into deep levels of meditation, easily and quickly?

The 'Secrets' Of How I Go Into Deep Meditation

People ask me how I am able to go into deep levels of meditation.  Well, to put it simply, you just read and practice, read and practice, and then read and practice some more.  I know it's one of those things where it's easier said than done, but let me explain further:

1.  Understand The Theory Of Meditation:

You must understand what you are doing.  And you do this by reading books on meditation and Yoga.  'The Ultimate Yoga Meditation Course' is a great start.  Please read it and do not let it collect 'electronic dust' on your 'electronic book shelf'.  Although you can get it for free (by asking your friends to subscribe to our newsletter), it is a very valuable resource on meditation and Yoga philosophy and psychology.

"Second-hand knowledge of the Self gathered from books or gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied;  only direct realization will do that.  Realize yourself, turning the mind inward."
                                                                                              -Tripura Rahasya, 18: 89

This ancient Tantrik quote leads directly to the next 'secret'.

2.  Practice Meditation:

After you have read about the theories and principles on meditation and about your True Self, you must experience it.  And, of course, you do this by actually practicing the methods and techniques you have learned.  Now, some people may need help in this matter, so they go to meditation instructors or organizations that teach meditation.

So, if you want to experience deep levels of meditation, my personal recommendation to you is to read 'The Ultimate Yoga Meditation Course' and as much as you can about meditation and Yoga such as the articles below and elsewhere on this site.  And practice the methods you will learn.

Again, one of the ways for you to experience deep meditation is to understand the principles involved, and learn from the experiences of others.  Here are some articles on meditation and Yoga that may interest you.
